Compliance Officer Epping Cape Town

 

Our Manufacturing FMCG client seeks a Compliance Officer with relevant FMCG industry experience. You will be responsible for ensuring the company adheres to relevant regulations, internal policies, and ethical standards.

 

Salary: Market Related (depends on experience and qualifications)

 

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field like law, business administration, or finance.

4+ years of experience in FMCG compliance or a related regulatory role.

Certification in compliance (e.g., Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional – CCEP) is a plus.

HACCP and GMP Compliance

 

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor Compliance: Oversee operational processes, procedures, and marketing materials to ensure they align with legal requirements and industry standards.

Develop and Implement Policies: Create, update, and maintain compliance policies and procedures, considering both internal and external regulations.

Risk Assessment and Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks, collaborating with management to address potential issues and prevent future violations.

Training and Education: Develop and deliver training programs to employees on compliance requirements, policies, and procedures.

Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and maintain compliance reports for senior management and regulatory bodies, documenting compliance activities and issues.

Auditing and Monitoring: Conduct regular audits and reviews of operations to ensure adherence to compliance regulations.

Staying Current: Maintain awareness of regulatory developments and changes in compliance requirements.

Contract Review: Review and draft contracts to ensure they comply with applicable laws and company policies.

Crisis Management: Handle non-compliance situations, implement mitigation plans, and provide support during legal or regulatory investigations.

HACCP and GMP Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulations related to food safety and hygiene in the production and distribution of FMCG products.

Marketing Compliance: Monitor and evaluate promotional and marketing campaigns to ensure compliance with advertising regulations and ethical standards.

Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the workplace, including site safety and employee training.
