Litigation Attorney Sandton Johannesburg

Our client is looking for a Litigation Attorney in Sandton City Johannesburg. You will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload of civil and commercial litigation matters. This role involves representing clients in court, drafting legal documents, and providing strategic legal advice. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent advocacy abilities, and a thorough understanding of South African legal procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Case Management – Handle a variety of litigation cases from inception to resolution.
• Develop case strategies and manage all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, and trial preparation.
• Court Representation – Represent clients in court proceedings, including trials, hearings, and motions.
• Present evidence and arguments to support clients’ positions.
• Legal Research and Drafting – Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements.
• Client Consultation – Advise clients on legal rights, obligations, and strategies.
• Maintain regular communication with clients to keep them informed about case progress.
• Negotiation and Settlement – Engage in negotiations to resolve disputes and achieve favorable settlements for clients.
• Draft and review settlement agreements.

Min Qualifications and requirements

• LLB degree from a recognized university.
• Admission as an attorney in South Africa.
• 5 years plus of experience in litigation, with a focus on civil and commercial and so on
