Conveyancing Secretary Cape Town
A reputable law firm in Cape Town is looking for an experienced Conveyancing Secretary to support its conveyancing department.
Salary: Market-related
Requirements:
- Matric
- Conveyancing/paralegal qualification advantageous
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a conveyancing secretary
- Proven experience in transfers, bond registrations, and cancellations
- Knowledge of Deeds Office procedures and conveyancing systems
Duties:
- Managing conveyancing files from inception to registration
- Drafting conveyancing documents, reports, and correspondence
- Handling transfers, bond registrations, and cancellations
- Liaising with clients, banks, estate agents, municipalities, body corporates, and the Deeds Office
- Obtaining rates and levy clearances and transfer duty receipts
- Preparing guarantees and assisting with financial aspects of transactions
- Arranging signing appointments and monitoring progress of matters
- Attending to post-registration processes and file closure
