Compliance Officer Sandton, Johannesburg 

A property company based in Sandton Johannesburg is seeking an experienced Compliance Officer with 5 years’ experience in the property management sector. Candidates must come from a property management company and have strong knowledge of property-related compliance, administration and governance requirements.

 

Salary: Market related (experience and qualification dependent)

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric; relevant compliance, legal or property qualification.
  • 5 years’ compliance experience.
  • Admitted Attorney preferred
  • Must have experience working for a property management company.
  • Strong understanding of property management processes and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent administration, reporting and document management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and monitor compliance across the property portfolio.
  • Ensure internal policies, procedures and regulatory requirements are followed.
  • Maintain compliance registers, records and supporting documentation.
  • Review and monitor leases, supplier documents and property compliance requirements.
  • Assist with audits and prepare compliance reports for management.
  • Track expiry dates for licences, certificates, contracts and statutory documents.
  • Liaise with landlords, tenants, service providers and internal departments.
  • Identify compliance risks and assist with corrective action plans.
  • Support health & safety, POPIA, FICA and general governance compliance.
