Job Description

Payroll Administrator Parow Cape Town – URGENT POSITION – MUST BE ABLE TO START 1ST NOVEMBER 2023

Our client in Parow Cape Town is looking for a payroll administrator with 3-5 years plus experience overseeing a payroll of 500 staff members (450 wages & 50 Perms). You will be responsible for planning, managing, and controlling payroll-related activities within the Group. Ensure a smooth and streamlined payroll department, focussing on the payroll department and the Sage pastel payroll system. Maintains payroll information by designing systems, and directing the collection, calculation, and entering of data. Ensure compliance with applicable laws and payroll tax obligations.

Salary: Up to R20 000.00

Start date: MUST BE ABLE TO START THE 1ST NOVEMBER 2023

Min Requirements

Matric

Payroll/Financial or HR qualification is an added bonus

3-5 years of payroll operations management experience

Advanced Payroll Systems knowledge – Sage Pastel Payroll

Experience with ESS

Emp 201 and SARS efiling experience needed

HR experience advantageous

Must be able to communicate

Advanced MS Office knowledge

 

Responsibilities

The Payroll Administrator will be responsible for all payroll processes and ensure timely and accurate payment of employee salaries on SAGE PASTEL PAYROLL

Develop, implement, and maintain payroll policies and procedures that ensure compliance with regulations.

Calculating pay and deductions, and processing payroll taxes.

Ensure compliance with all payroll-related laws and regulations

Calculating pay and deductions, and processing payroll taxes.

Future overseeing the administration of employee benefits, including provident fund, and group benefits. – Experience an added bonus

Assist with EMP201s reconciled monthly, assist with uploading to the SARS website, and prepare for payment before the 7th of each month.

Reconcile all 3rd party transactions and ensure the payments are done before the 7th of the month.

Balances the payroll accounts by resolving payroll discrepancies.

Ensure all payslips are loaded onto ESS on the same day as payment.
