Our client in Blackheath Cape Town is looking for an experienced Credit Controller with 5 years plus ongoing maintenance of Debtor’s accounts, Opening of Accounts, and Timeous collection of Overdue Accounts/Order Releasing. Ad hoc administration duties as well. This is an EE Position ONLY
Salary R 25000 – R 30 000 (Benefits included) working Mo to Thursday 7:30 to 5 pm and Friday 7:30 to 3pm
Min qualification
Matric
Min of 5 years of credit control experience
Experience in ARMA + software will be a benefit
Experience in an ERP System is an advantage
Experience in manufacturing will be an advantage
Experience in managing multiple sites and branch organization
Responsibilities
Full debtors’ function – multiple branches (one of 3 Credit Controllers)
Full responsibility for collections on outstanding sundry, intercompany, fixer subcontractors
cash transaction accounts
Process new customer credit applications received from branches, ensuring all accompanying documents are submitted and information is accurate as per procedure
Receive & process customer credit limit reviews as per procedure
Manage the debtor’s order hold process when accounts are overdue, or the customer has exceeded the credit limit and take appropriate action as per procedures
Maintain live database of debtors, i.e. opening and closing overdue accounts
Closing dormant accounts reducing/increasing credit limits
Updating new information received on a debtor so that the master file database
Open new customer accounts as per procedure
Open new fixer subcontractors’ accounts as per procedure
Process of invoices on the manufacturing system
Correction journals – accounts receivable & general journals as per procedure;
