Payroll Accountant Cape Town CBD

Our client an international group is looking for an experienced Payroll Accountant with 5 years of solid payroll accounting management experience. You will ensure accurate payroll-financial record management and legislative compliance. It would help if you had a degree in Financial Accounting or similar.

Min Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.

5 years plus in payroll management or a similar role

knowledge of local payroll laws and regulations.

Proficiency in using payroll software/systems SAGE/SAGE 300

Advanced Microsoft Office Suite Excel.

Responsibilities

Accurate calculation and processing of the monthly SAGE/SAGE 300

Manage all payroll-related audit queries at the end of the financial year.

Manage the Dependent’s Bursary scheme account.

Posting of all Payroll journals.

Produce the month-end payslips

Responsible for the Location Fund balance sheet reconciliation.

Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies.

Provide insights and recommend cost-effective solutions to Distribution.

Monitor and implement financial policies and procedures.

Identify and drive efficiencies within payroll from an accounting perspective.

Monitor and comply with all local payroll tax regulations and reporting requirements, including filing appropriate tax forms, and making timely tax payments.

Stay updated with changes in payroll laws and regulations, assessing their impact on the company’s payroll practices and implementing necessary adjustments to ensure compliance.

Prepare and maintain accurate payroll records, reports, and documentation for auditing and legal purposes.
