Risk & Compliance Analyst (Legal) Century City Cape Town

 Our financial services client in Century City Town South Africa is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Risk & Compliance Analyst (Legal) to join our team and help us navigate the complex regulatory landscape. The Risk & Compliance Analyst (Legal) will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating legal risks within the organization.

Min Qualifications and requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field.

Relevant certifications in risk management or compliance (e.g., CCEP, CRISC) are advantageous.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in risk management, compliance, or legal roles.

Strong understanding of South African legal and regulatory frameworks.

 

Responsibilities:

This role involves monitoring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, developing compliance policies and procedures, and providing legal support to various departments.

Strong understanding of legal frameworks and risk management principles.

Risk Assessment – Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential legal and compliance risks.

Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of existing risk management strategies.

Compliance Monitoring – Monitor compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.

Policy Development – Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of compliance policies and procedures.

Reporting – Prepare reports on compliance status and risk management activities for senior management and the board.

Legal Support – Provide legal advice and support to various departments on compliance-related matters.

Assist in the review and negotiation of contracts and agreements to ensure compliance with legal standards.
