Our client is looking for an experience Industrial Relations Officer in Montague Gardens Cape Town with 5 years’ experience. You need to come from a manufacturing/production industry. Min Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Labour Law, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial relations or human resources, preferably in a unionized environment.

Strong understanding of South African labor laws and industrial relations practices.

 

Responsibilities

Dispute Resolution – Mediate and resolve conflicts between management and employees, including grievances and disciplinary issues.

Negotiation – Represent the organization in negotiations with trade unions and employee representatives regarding collective bargaining agreements.

Ensure compliance with South African labor laws and regulations, including the Labour Relations Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, and Employment Equity Act.

Training and Development – Provide training to management and staff on industrial relations issues, including conflict resolution and labor law compliance.

Maintain accurate records of industrial relations activities and prepare reports for management.

Advise management on industrial relations matters, including the interpretation of labor laws and collective agreements.
