Financial Analyst Observatory Cape Town  

Our global client is looking for a Financial Analyst with 5 years plus experience. You will provide insights and recommendations based on financial data analysis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analysing financial data, preparing reports, and assisting in financial planning and forecasting to support strategic decision-making.

Min Qualifications and experience requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; Master’s degree or CFA designation is a plus.

5 years plus experience as a Financial Analyst within the investment / financial services / asset management

Proficiency in financial modelling and forecasting techniques.

Advanced knowledge of Excel and financial software

Experience with data visualization tools (e.g.Power BI).

Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

Financial Analysis – Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights into business performance.

Prepare financial models to forecast future financial performance and assess potential investments.

Reporting – Generate regular financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

Budgeting and Forecasting

Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.

Data Management – Maintain and update financial databases and reporting tools.

Investment Analysis

Evaluate investment opportunities and perform due diligence on potential projects.
