Accountant Cape Town

Our financial services client in Cape Town CBD is looking for an Accountant with 5 years experience. You need to come from the Financial Services, Investment or Insurance industry. 

Salary very negotiable plus benefits 

Requirements:

BCom(Acc), BAcc, CIMA (with Accounting subjects) or other recognized accounting degree/qualification

At least 5 years of financial accounting experience preferably from a financial services, insurance or from the investment 

Must be proficient in SAGE, Pastel and advanced Excel. Need to be well experienced in Financial Reviews and reporting

Responsibilities:

Financial Accounting duties overseeing an Accountants and other financial staff 

Cashbooks, bank reconciliations, and allocation of deposits.

Full Debtors & Creditors Reviews and reporting

Review and reporting of all trial balances and annual financial statements.

Assist with preparation of management accounts.

Assist with the external audit process.

Assist in compiling departmental budgets.

Prepare Monthly management accounts

Dealing with cashflow management and budgets

Performing VAT calculations, reconciliations, submissions and payments on a cash basis.

Keeping the suppliers list up to date.

Processing of payments on different banks 

Ledger accounts reconciliations.

Completing and submitting vendor forms.

Communication with all relevant stakeholders.

Replying to all financial queries.
