Junior Business Analyst – Cape Town, Western Cape
Our client is looking for a Junior Business Analyst with 3+ years experience. The main purpose of the role is to understand business requirements & processes and identify business technology and/or process opportunities, working with business & IT managers to develop, implement and maintain solutions which deliver business value within agreed timelines and budget.
Contract Type: Permanent
Minimum 3 years of experience within IT Services and/or business analyst working with cross-functional teams.
Experience in working within the Agile Development Life Cycle
Experience in working with relevant Automation and Simplification Tools.
Experience in working with CRM, ERP, and BI tools
Relevant tertiary qualifications or certificates across the competence areas of IT, Engineering, or Commerce
Must be competent in working with 3rd party development teams
Must be competent in engaging stakeholders across business functions and countries
Business facing experience in Order to Cash retail processes, e-commerce front end and order fulfilment, financial and operational reporting, practical involvement in one / several areas such as:
Order to Cash retail processes
E-commerce order fulfilment
E-commerce payment gateways
Experience working as a part of, and ability to land, local projects.
Contribution to and landing of technology enabled optimization project. Driving automation and touchless processes
The primary tasks, functions and deliverables of the role include, but are not limited to:
Support the DBS Portfolio Manager / Senior Business Analyst, and business stakeholders, to identify and shape opportunities in the space.
Act as system SME for relevant functional solutions and platforms including but not limited to:
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution and processes
Point of Sale (POS) solution and processes
Payment integration solutions
Middleware integration layer
Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solution and processes
E-Commerce platform and processes
Supporting the Business and IT Agenda
Understanding and translating the overall Enterprise Architecture to assess degree of conformance and opportunities for existing or new business processes
Core BA and Project Accountabilities
Lead / contribute to:
Establishing the contribution that technology can make to business objectives using a range of techniques such as eliciting and documenting requirements with stakeholders, conducting feasibility studies, producing business models, preparing business cases, usability requirements analysis and usability evaluation
Identifying and obtaining agreement on the requirements / features which will be most beneficial to the business and documenting requirements
Analysis and documentation of issues and requirements for the solutions supported. Working closely with Process Leads, and Key Users to shape requirements and options.
Overseeing implementation of solutions – checking against the initial requirements
Identifying and raising issues impacting the execution of strategic / operational / project plans
Orchestrating internal and/or external resources to drive delivery of changes to existing platforms, or for the identification, assessment, selection and deployment of new solutions and platforms
